Public Lands and the Environment

Teton County Democrats believe the new Forest Plan for the Bridger-Teton National Forest must permanently protect roadless areas.
We call for an end to all oil and gas drilling and leasing in the Wyoming Range.
We denounce Bush Administration plans to sell off public lands.
We support the Teton County and Town of Jackson 10 x 10 Initiative – 10 steps to cut energy consumption by 10 percent by the year 2010.
We endorse Teton County’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle campaign to cut waste.
We urge Congress to permanently protect the free-flowing rivers and streams of the Snake River
headwaters using the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
We support land use plans to protect wildlife resources in Teton County.
