Personal Information

• Born January 24, 1949; attended public schools in Kenosha, graduating from Tremper H.S. in 1967
   
• BA in journalism from UW-Madison, 1972
   
• Madison homeowner since 1986
   
• Married with children (Nancy, Brad & Hilary)

Employment History

• Retired from the WI Dept of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) in 2005. Served as DATCP's legislative liaison and a policy & program analyst in the Secretary's Office from 1989-1995; later as a regulatory specialist and civil investigator in DATCP's Bureau of Consumer Protection until retirement.
   
• Public affairs field representative with the Wisconsin Medical Society from 1987-1989.
   
• Policy & research analyst in the Wisconsin Legislature from 1973-1987, including two years in the Assembly Majority Leader's Office.

• Dane County Board of Supervisors, 1994-2000. Served on Public Works, Health & Human Needs, and Public Protection & Judiciary Committees
