Democratic Leadership Institute

The Democratic Leadership Institute (DLI) is an intensive two-day campaign training sponsored by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin each spring. It provides enthusiastic activists and young adults with the skills neccessary to become effectively involved.

This year, the DPW will hold DLI in Merrimac, Wisconsin at Devils Head Resort and Convention Center on April 12 and 13.  DLI offers two tracks, one for Youth and one for Activists.

• The Youth Track is a FREE (includes lodging, meals, and training materials) two-day seminar available to all 18-25 year olds that will provide participants with the skills they need to be active and effective members of the Democratic Party.  The focus will be on campaign workshops taught by prominent national and state campaigners.  Past graduates have gone on to be state senators, state representatives, campaign managers, and other key figures in politics. • The Activist Track focuses on continuing the great tradition of grassroots organizing in Wisconsin through workshops on building the local Party and supporting local Candidates. Participants will not only meet with other dedicated activists statewide, but will also gain key knowledge to ensure that Democrats win in Wisconsin.
