Take Back the Assembly
Contribute to the slate of Democratic candidates and party units working in the top-tier Assembly districts in our area to build our majority in the State Assembly:
In 2008, we have the opportunity to take back the Assembly for the people of Wisconsin and for Democrats. We are only three seats away from a Democratic majority in the Assembly.
While there are around 15 to 20 top-tier Assembly seats around the state, there are a full six here in south-central Wisconsin that we need to win.
We have three freshman incumbents that we need to protect:
Andy Jorgensen (AD37)
Kim Hixson (AD43)
Steve Hilgenberg (AD51)
We have three seats where we are challenging Republican control.
AD42, where Fred Clark is the Democratic candidate
AD47, where Paul Fisk and Trish O'Neil are running in a primary to be the Democratic nominee
AD80, where Kris Wisnefske and John Waelti are running in a primary to be the Democratic nominee
These are all seats that Democrats can and should win - and if we win all six, we will be well on our way to a Democratic majority in the State Assembly.
You can contribute to this slate of candidates, the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Party of the 2nd Congressional District, all working to win these crucial districts through this secure online fundraising page:To get involved with the work of the Democratic Party of the 2nd Congressional District working on voter contact and party-building in these districts, please contact DP2CD chair Peter Rickman at rickman.peter@gmail.com.
