Issues - Primary-Special Ballot - May 8, 2007

The following issues will be on the Primary-Special Election ballot slated for May 8, 2007, for voters in the following communities:

Margaretta Township:

  • Replacement and increase to constitute a tax of 2 mills, 5 years, fire protection and emergency medical services, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivisions:  Castalia Village, Margaretta Township

Bellevue City School District:

  • Three quarters of one percent (0.75%) income tax, five years, school district purposes
  • Voting subdivision:  Groton Township (Bel CSD)

Firelands Local School District:

  • Bond Issue, permanent improvements, 4.99 mills 28 years, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivision:  Florence Township (Fir LSD)

Lorain County Joint Vocational School:

  • Renewal 0.75 mill, 5 years, general permanent improvements, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivision:  Florence Township (Fir LSD)

Margaretta Local School District:

  • 1.5 mills, 5 years, general permanent improvements, commencing in 2007
  • 1 percent income tax, 5 years, current expenses
  • Voting subdivisions:  Bay View Village, Castalia Village, Groton Township (Mar LSD), Margaretta Township (Mar LSD)

Monroeville Local School District:

  • Bond Issue, permanent improvements, 5.5 mills, 28 years, commencing in 2007
  • Renewal 3.75 mills, 5 years, emergency requirements, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivision:  Oxford Township (Mon LSD)

Sandusky City School District:

  • Additional 5.4-mills, continuing period of time, current expenses, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivision:  Sandusky City

Vermilion River Ambulance District:

  • Replacement 1 mill, 5 years, emergency medical services, commencing in 2007
  • Voting subdivision:  Florence Township
