Board Meeting - July, 2007

The Defiance County Democratic Meeting was held on July 16^th 2007 at 7:00PM at the UAW Hall.  There were 21 members in attendance and the excused members were, Steve Pryor, Henry Diehl, and Mariella Pardo. The guests present were Joan Saylor.

Donna Hitzemann read the roll call.

The minutes were read and approved with one correction.

Committee Reports:

Charlie Gray reported on the  conference in Cleveland.  There were many Democratic presidential candidates who spoke. All the candidates put forth a good effort and answered a lot of questions. 

There was no unfinished business.

New Business:

Vic stated the governor invited 20 people to attend an informal get-together at the governor’s mansion.  Everyone needs to be on a list and pre approved and a ticket issued.  Please contact Vic if anyone is interested in attending.

ODOT has many job openings and can be checked on at http://www.statofohiojob.com/.

Vic has a new list of county chairs and who is currently working at headquarters.

Charlie Gray motioned to meet one week early due to the County Fair.  Tim Holtsberry seconded and the motion carried.

Charlie Gray stated that Michelle Domke needs more suggested dates for the governor to come and have an event.  Vic stated he gave her five more dates.

There was a sign up sheet passed around for the fair.

The newsletter was put together and everyone helped with this.  The meeting then started at 7:30.  Bev Peterson did a wonderful job. Thanks Bev.

There was no general discussion.

Tim Holtsberry motioned to adjourn and Charlie Gray seconded, and the motion passed.
