The Miller Family
Senator Mike Miller married his
wife Patti after meeting as students at the
University of Maryland. They settled into
Mike's hometown of Clinton, Maryland and raised
a family of five, one son and four
daughters.
Their eldest
daughter, Melissa, is a graduate of Villanova
and the Catholic University of America Law
School. She is an attorney in Prince George's
County, where she lives with her husband Tony
Scott and their three children.
The family's
twins, Michelle and Melanie, are both honored
to be graduates of Salisbury State University.
Michelle also graduated from Physical Therapy
School at the University of Maryland at
Baltimore. She and her husband Lance Cassidy
have four children. Melanie is currently
working at BWI Airport in the Office of
Communications. As the only Miller child
actively involved in politics, she currently
serves as President of the Young Democrats of
Maryland.
Tommy, the
couple's only son, is a graduate of the
University of Maryland and the University of
Baltimore School of Law. He and his wife Dawn
have three children. Tommy is currently serving
as a Commissioner in the Maryland Parole
System.
The youngest Miller, Amanda, a graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore, has been working as a Speech Pathologist in the Anne Arundel County public school system since the fall of 2000. She recently received her Masters Degree in Speech Patholog from Loyola College.
Mike and Patti
are very proud of the children's
accomplishments and proud of the families their
children are raising. Over the years they have
enjoyed sharing their growing family with the
community through their annual Christmas cards.
