The Board of the D30 Democratic Club invites all past, present and prospective members to participate in a Membership Convention and Strategic Planning Session on Saturday, June 11, starting at 9 a.m. in the morning and followed by lunch (with a surprise guest speaker!). Jill Barr, an experienced facilitator, has kindly agreed to lead Club members through a conversation to take stock of where we have been, what we have accomplished and where we want to go next as a Democratic Club - to imagine our potential future and set goals for the Club for the next several years.
Mike and Cheryl Miller
have volunteered to host the event at their
home at 2698 Willow Hill Road in
Annapolis.
Breakfast and lunch served
courtesy of the District 30 Democratic Club.
Come help make plans for our
future!
PLEASE RSVP to warrenhamel@D30dems.org
or 410-703-8145 so that we can plan our
menu.
Maryland District 30 Democratic Club
Be a Do-Something Democrat!
Our mission is to help elect Democrats at every level of government, because we believe that the values shared by Democrats are those that move Maryland and the United States "toward a more perfect union."
The District 30 Democratic Club brings together Democrats in the 47 precincts of our state legislative district, located in central and southern Anne Arundel County, encompassing the City of Annapolis, the Annapolis Neck Peninsula, the Broadneck Peninsula, and parts of South County. The district's eastern edge is the Chesapeake Bay. If you are represented in the General Assembly by Senator John Astle, Speaker of the House Mike Busch and Delegate Virginia Clagett, you live in District 30.
We call ourselves "Do-Something Democrats" because many of our activities are focused on reaching out to voters. Once you join the club you'll receive our e-mail newsletter, which goes out every ten days to two weeks and lists things you can do to help elect Democrats, whether attending a house party for a candidate, passing out literature, or staffing a club event.
As a club, we do not make endorsements in contested primary elections, but we encourage our members to work for the candidates of their choice. As soon as a primary is over, the club commits all its energies to electing our slate of Democratic candidates in the general election.
Whether you can help us a little or a lot, we need you! It is vital that concerned citizens not only vote Democratic, but help like-minded individuals get elected and serve the public.
