About

The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) is the official body of the Democratic Party in Montgomery County,MD. Its members are either elected from Legislative Districts or At-Large in the Maryland primary election.  

Our organization also consists of a group of advisors known as Trustees.  Trustees are former elected officials who represented Montgomery County. 

The purpose of the Montgomery County Democratic Party is to:

• Promote individual freedom in the framework of a just society;
• Promote political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens;
• Afford all members of the Democratic Party full, timely, and equal opportunities to participate in decisions concerning the selection of candidates, the formulation of policy, and the conduct of other Party affairs;
• Promote fair campaign practices and the fair adjudication of disputes;
• Promote democratic government, social justice, and economic opportunity for all citizens;
• Promote and elect the nominees of the Party for local, state, and national offices;
• Act as the official voice for the Democratic Party in Montgomery County on all questions of public policy; and
• Promote open and free elections.
