Howard County Democratic Party

Welcome to the website of the Howard County Democratic Central Committee. The strength of the Democratic Party depends in large measure on you as volunteers. Consequently, we encourage you to become a volunteer. Not only do we need you, but we need your democratic neighbors, friends, and relatives.

We need you because next year we will be electing and re-electing democrats to offices at the federal, state and local levels. Now that we have taken back the White House and generated Democratic victories at various levels, we must prepare to retain the Governor's mansion and our local county offices.

So, please volunteer. Some general activities that the party will engage in are door-knocking, registering voters, making phone calls, staffing festivals and events, and our "Neighborhood Contact Program. Please contact Cathy Zomlefer at 410-290-9791 and volunteer.

We hope that this website will give you some insight into the activities of the Democratic Party in Howard County and serve as a source of "party" information.

Please sign-up to receive our electronic newsletter and get information delivered first hand to your "inbox".

While Marylanders Look Forward, Andy Harris Looks to the Failures of the Past

In a blatant embrace of the failed policies of the past that helped create the country’s current economic woes, Andy Harris is bringing former House Speaker Newt Gingrich – the poster boy for those failures – to Maryland. Gingrich is scheduled to appear at an event for Harris this evening at the BWI Airport Marriott.
