with a
visit from US Senator
Mary Landrieu!
In an effort to bring together members of this rather large congressional district, Mary Leach Werner of Lake Charles and Stephen Handwerk of Lafayette – the newly elected Co‐Chairs of the 7th Congressional District of the Louisiana Democratic Party are announcing the 1st Annual Democratic Family Reunion.
“Democrats from around the district will be coming together in Crowley next Saturday (April 26th) from Noon through 5pm to reconnect and have some fun” said Mary Leach Werner. “I am very excited at the amount of energy and enthusiasm that our party is showing for our candidates in the upcoming Elections.”
Stephen Handwerk added “Our goal is to bring people together – young and old, Black and White, east and west to one place where we can celebrate our diversity and our shared values.”
The Democratic Family Reunion will be held next Saturday – April 26th at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center in Crowley. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Food, Drinks, music and great activities for the kids will all be in abundance at this event.
Music will include – Terry and the Zydeco Bad Boys and Joe Douglas (and if we are lucky our very own Representative Bobby Badon will take to the stage!). Jambalaya, hot dogs and cold drinks will be served and this is free to the public. Also Democratic collectors’ items will be for sale and on display as well.
We are also very pleased to announce that US Senator Mary Landrieu will be our Featured Guest Speaker. We will also be recognizing our elected State Representatives and State Senators!
Event opens at Noon with the speakers starting around 3pm. So come and have something to eat and join the other Democrats from the 7th Congressional District in Crowley!
