Republican Party Blame
Game Again Hampers Recovery
Efforts

ROUGE – Louisiana Republicans
continue to lay blame at the feet of Gov.
Kathleen Blanco for over promising and under
committing funds for the Road Home Program when
it is Bush who has reneged his commitment to
the state’s recovery, according to Louisiana
Democratic Party Chairman Chris
Whittington.
Rep. Jim Tucker, who
consistently fought Gov. Blanco’s spending
efforts during the December Special Session, is
now taking his cue from Bobby Jindal in trying
to earmark $1.2 billion of the state’s surplus
to augment the recovery program’s funding.
Jindal, who has remained tight-lipped for
months about the Road Home program, or for that
matter any SPECIFIC issue regarding
