Hello everyone! I am a New GAC member and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jacob Barrett some of you may or may not know me; however I just wanted to shout a hello out! Now the main reason for the post.

I have been out of the political and activist arena for about 5 years now. During my absence the social and political climate that once was has changed. GLBT people are coming out at earlier ages and having KEF as well as many other organization across the state has helped facilitate this coming out earlier age. This also has brought about the social and political climate change. My main concern is how do we get our community more involved? I know that there is certain apathy that everyone has with making change i.e. can one persons vote really make a difference? We need to impress on our community and our allies that yes one vote can make the difference, my question to you all is; How do help every member get involved? I would like to hear everyone person's ideas as well as get to know you discussion! I look forward to working and making history with you all!
