Lobbying 101, Northern Kentucky  

We know that plenty of folks would like to talk to their elected officials about fairness issues, but just don't know how to set up and have a successful meeting with their representative or senator.

With an important session of the Kentucky General Assembly just ahead and several critical fairness issues on the agenda, the Kentucky Equality Federation has partnered with the Kentucky Fairness Alliance to offer regional training sessions on how to lobby your legislator. We're calling the sessions LOBBYING 101: Raising the Voice and Visibility of Fairness.

While e-mails, phone calls, and letters are good, talking face to face with your legislators is the most effective way to persuade them to support fairness and equality when they go to Frankfort. We hope our training sessions take the "fear factor" out of lobbying, and enables hundreds of people to meet with lawmakers, both at home and in Frankfort.
