Sunny and her husband, Daryl Genz, own their own business, making and selling specialized sports equipment.
Sunny volunteers with teen programs in her church and community. "Youth," she says, "are our greatest resource and our future." She also volunteers at the Interfaith Sanctuary homeless shelter in Boise.
Sunny is currently lobbying, as an unpaid private citizen, for passage of HR808 which would fund programs in violence and gang prevention, prisoner rehabilitation and conflict resolution.

Bio
Sunny Freeman was raised in Gillette, Wyoming, the daughter of a coal miner and a carpenter.
She graduated from Colorado State University at the top of her class with a degree in anthropology. Among other classes, she studied resource management, human ecology, and environmental ethics.
Sunny and her husband moved to Nampa in 2004. They have two boys, Dylan and Cameron.
She first ran for Idaho Representative, Seat 12B, in 2006.
