Canyon County (Idaho) Democrats
The Canyon County Democrats are dedicated to electing Democratic candidates at all levels. We work at identifying Democratic voters, energizing them through events and activities, and getting them out to the polls on Election Day.
Keep the momentum going!
Dozens of volunteers devoted hundreds of hours to identifying and persuading voters this campaign season. In his 2008 run for 1st Congressional District Representative, Walt Minnick received 28,367 votes in Canyon County, 45 % of those cast. This was nearly 12,000 more votes than any Democrat received in the county in 2006.
Work for the 2010 elections is underway. The Idaho State Democratic Party has challenged us to get a permanent office and two staff members to direct this work. We know these are tough economic times, but we're hoping to get enough people to donate $10 or $20 a month to move us toward these goals.
