ARE IMPORTANT TO ATTEND

On Tuesday, January 3, 2012, the Iowa Caucuses, the kickoff to the election season, will be viewed nationwide. So let us keep the “first in the nation status” by going to the Caucuses, showing the country that Iowa support and believe in Obama and Democratic candidates at all levels of the government. Our state wants the progressive actions of Obama not the regressive movements the Republicans are taking, or wanting to take. Iowa being a battleground, the more people involved, the stronger our candidates and campaigns will be.
Iowa Precinct Caucuses are unique grassroots events to organize for the campaign, providing for a strong volunteer base. These Caucuses also give people a chance to meet their neighbors and talk about their concerns and reasons to have responsible leadership for the state and nation.
On January 3, 2012, with the different form, the Caucuses will be interactive and valuable for the attendees. For many of the Caucuses, several precincts will gather in one location for the first part of the Caucuses during this time, the attendees will hear from President Obama live from the White House, learn about the upcoming strategy for Obama’s re-election and be updated on activities in their community. In the second part, precincts break out into their caucus to conduct business, which includes discussing and adopting proposed resolutions\concerns to be added to the county platform; electing Delegates and Alternates to the County Convention; getting volunteers to serve on the various committees and electing Precinct Committee Persons to the County Central Committee.
Iowa Democrats need to support Candidates at all levels of the government; expanding the majority in the Iowa Senate; growing the Democratic representation in the Iowa House; making sure we have four Democrats in the U.S. Congress and re-electing President Obama. Good ways for showing this support is to go to the Caucuses and sign the Candidates’ petitions plus volunteer to get out the word about these great Candidates
We as Iowa Democrats need to attend our Precinct Caucus to get organized and involved early on so that we can keep up the progress Obama has made. Obama’s focus is to provide economic security for middle class citizens. Obama’s achievements can be seen in more people affording health care, the shrinking of Medicare’s “doughnut hole”, plus getting Osama Bin Laden and our troops out of war. Let us stand up for this U.S. President at our Precinct Caucus.
