Moines – The Iowa Democratic Party announced
today that Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill
will be the keynote speaker at the
9th Annual Hall of Fame
Dinner. The event begins at 7pm on
Friday,
June 13 and will take place at the Polk County
Convention Complex in Des
Moines.
“We are thrilled that Senator
McCaskill will be speaking at our annual Hall
of Fame Dinner,” said Scott
Brennan, Iowa Democratic Party Chairman.
“Senator McCaskill is a rising star of
the Democratic Party and a tireless advocate
for the people of Missouri.”
Senator
McCaskill became the first
woman elected to the United States Senate from
Missouri in
2006 when she defeated Republican
Senator Jim Talent. She also serves as a
National Co-Chair of the Obama for
America
campaign.
