Programs
- Push Down TechnologySelected content can be set to automatically "push down" from the master site to sub sites in a suite. For example,an organization with chapters can publish a regular news blurb, membership notice or alerts.
- *PersonalizationGive members a personal page on your website where they can edit their profile, set up preferred links, reminders, link and share expertise and interests with other members and track activities.
- Text EditorDesign and edit pages via WYSIWYG ("what you see is what you get") text editor. No HTML experience is needed.
- Dynamic - Template PagesPage set-up and management is easy with Orchid's templated pages that are dynamically linked to a database of content and functionality. Self-serve sites within suites come set up with the following pages: news articles, press releases, action alerts, join form, etc.
- Search Engine OptimizationAbility to apply meta-tags to individual pages throughout the site to increase page rank and specific page content.
- Content LibrariesLibraries consist of the shared content within a site or suite of sites. Site administrators can add, remove and edit articles, alerts, press releases, images, documents and events. Some libraries, such as news articles, can also be fed through content or "rss" feeds.
- *TaxonomyEstablish a simple or complex taxonomy for your content so it can be updated in only one place yet displayed in various areas of your site or suite of sites.
- Image and Document LibraryLink to documents and files (including video, sound and others), allowing users to download directly from website.
- Content SharingUsers can upload, share and publish materials, then determine whether they want the content to remain on their site only or be shared with others sites in their suite. Content is available in a variety of forms from automatic XML feeds to images, documents, news articles, links, issues and press releases that users can access though the CMS. For example, any county in Ohio could log on to a state level website, see the list of promoted releases, and feature it on their homepage with the click of a button.
- Site ManagerThe Site Manager gives administrators of Orchid websites the ability to manage the set of webpages, features and tools that come with every Orchid site. It is designed to be used by those who have basic skills on computers and are comfortable using the internet. Extensive technical knowledge is unnecessary. For self-serve customers it comes pre-set with a sitemap of pages deemed critical to each suite. New pages can be added and all pages can be edited, reformatted, “turned off” or deleted.
