- Content LibrariesLibraries consist of the shared content within a site or suite of sites. Site administrators can add, remove and edit articles, alerts, press releases, images, documents and events. Some libraries, such as news articles, can also be fed through content or "rss" feeds.

- Discussion ForumGive your members the ability to talk with one another via the discussion forum. This is ideal for campaigns, advocacy and building communities. All registered users can view the discussion and comment. If they are not registered, they will be prompted to join by filling out a simple form and choosing a login and password.
- FeedbackGet feedback from your users. This is an effective way to collect testimonials and to see how you are doing. Users submits a question or comment and the site administrator posts his or her answer.
- Email CampaignsSet up mailing lists based on zip code, member type, what activity they are signed up for, or by date registered. Targeted e-mails may be sent as plain text or html to members, staff, associates, or a specific mailing list generated from your list of contacts.
- *Point Incentive SystemEncourage your members to act on behalf of an initiative, a candidate, or similar by using Orchid's point system. Users sign up for the program and every time they act on behalf of their chosen project, they are given points. Organizations can choose to award users for their work.
- Event Listings with CalendarDisplay your event listings both in list form and as a box calendar that users can click on to view more detailed information. In suites, you may choose from events already posted or post your own. Members who are logged in and have specific rights can post events from their personal profile.

- BLOGGives registered users the ability to communicate with one another, leave comments, or publish for public read.
- Action AlertsShare, post and/or send action alerts by choosing from a list provided by others in the same suite or by creating your own. Results can be posted to the homepage, listed in the action center and be sent to specified contacts. You can also attach a document and/or a survey to your posting.
- Email AccountsSet up email accounts for your staff. Comes with forwarding capabilities.

- Customer or Client Relationship Management (CRM)Clients can utilize a combination of list management, maintenance and communication services to track behavior and develop individual profiles of users. They can generate reports based on what a user clicks, contributes,etc. This data allows a client to engage and manage users effectively.
Content Management
- Content SharingUsers can upload, share and publish materials, then determine whether they want the content to remain on their site only or be shared with others sites in their suite. Content is available in a variety of forms from automatic XML feeds to images, documents, news articles, links, issues and press releases that users can access though the CMS. For example, any county in Ohio could log on to a state level website, see the list of promoted releases, and feature it on their homepage with the click of a button.
- Site ManagerThe Site Manager gives administrators of Orchid websites the ability to manage the set of webpages, features and tools that come with every Orchid site. It is designed to be used by those who have basic skills on computers and are comfortable using the internet. Extensive technical knowledge is unnecessary. For self-serve customers it comes pre-set with a sitemap of pages deemed critical to each suite. New pages can be added and all pages can be edited, reformatted, “turned off” or deleted.
