Email Management– Data can be uploaded into or exported from Orchid so organizations can track new subscribers, and send targeted emails blasts using one system, not many. Orchid can also manage the results of a send including bounces, spam control, address changes and the like. Email Blast – Organizations can send targeted email to volunteers, members, subscribers and media based on interests and needs using enterprise-level technology to track the effectiveness of these missives over time. Orchid comes with an integrated email blast system that allows the user to granularly blast mail to arbitrary lists of people in the system, create new lists. The system also allows for HTML-email and message accounting. Fully Integrated Push Technology – This technology gives organizations the ability to decide what content should automatically show up on affiliated sites. For example, the National Women’s Political Caucus may want all of their state and local chapters to have certain news articles or press releases relating to national efforts posted automatically on individual sites. Online Discussion Forums and BLOGS – Orchid offers discussion forums and BLOGS. All content is available for edit and control by administrators and all posters must first register and login to contribute. This ensures the ability to block destructive or nuisance posters.
