Democrats Recognized for
Outstanding Volunteer Work at Belle
Thanks and appreciation goes out to the
many who made the 2006 and 2007 elections a
success for
"Party
volunteers contributed in a large way to many
of these accomplishments," said Kent County
Democratic Party Chair Abby Betts. "From
knocking on doors to making phone calls for the
party and its candidates, without their hard
work and dedication, running successful
elections would be nearly impossible."
After taking time to recognize
the party's loyal volunteers, Betts urged them
to spring into action once again to help out an
encouraging group of energetic candidates
running in 2008 with a clear vision for
State Treasurer, Jack Markell
emceed the event which also featured speeches
from Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, Sen. Tom Carper, Lt.
Governor John Carney, and Insurance
Commissioner Matt Denn.
