Deldems Release Delegate Selection Plan

NEW CASTLE, DE— Today the Delaware Democratic Party officially began the process of selecting delegates for the 2008 convention in Denver by releasing the Delegate Selection Plan for public comment.

The plan is available at http://www.deldems.org/ and will remain there for 30 days. Public comment will be accepted during that time frame.

The plan will then be revised, approved by the State Executive Committee, and then sent to the Democratic National Committee for approval.

“The convention is an exciting time for Democrats all over the country,” said Molly Jurusik, Executive Director of the Delaware Democratic Party. “We look forward to sending a diverse, passionate group of delegates who fully represent the Democratic Party in Delaware.”

Delaware sends 23 delegates and 4 alternates.
