Justin Altschuler

A native of California, Justin Altschuler is a medical student at the UCSF-UC Berkeley Joint Medical Program. He graduated from Dartmouth University, and in 2004 coordinated Demdocs' East Coast effort. In 2005 he worked on the Health Care for Massachusetts campaign. Justin is the National Student Coordinator for Physicians for a Democratic Majority.

Dr. Alex Blum

Alex Blum, PDM's National Volunteer Coordinator, completed Pediatrics Resident at UCLA. He graduated from medical school at Howard University and is a former health policy fellow in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He also serves on the naitonal board of Doctors for Obama and NPA's Rx Vote. As national leader of the American Medical Student Association’s (AMSA) Health Policy Vote2004, Alex assembled a team of medical students in seventeen swing states, and created a website to register students to vote. He also helped lead DemDocs in 2004 and 2006 and organized teams of medical students and physicians in 14 congressional races across the country.

Carl Fisher

Carl is a fourth year medical student at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is currently applying to psychiatry residency programs, with interests in community psychiatry, academia, bioethics and medical education.
