More than four months after Election Day, Minnesota Senator-Elect Al Franken was officially declared the winner by a three-judge panel. Though defeated Republican candidate Norm Coleman will attempt to drag this out through further appeals, the outcome is nearly inevitable.
DemDocs recruited a full-time medical student organizer and 30 student volunteers during Al's campaign last fall, helping to propel him to his cliffhanger victory. And we can't wait for him to cast a decisive vote for healthcare reform in the United States Senate later this year!
